Pittsburg Accomplishments:
- Entitlement EECBG application for LED lights for residential areas and the community areas as well as green workforce training.
- Municipal GHG inventory in progress
- Launched a Facebook Page for public communication and involvement
- October 2009 the City Council passed a resolution to support the Extended Product Responsibility Policy in addition to a previously existing Environmental Preferential Purchasing Policy
- Community Wide Green house Gas Inventory completed.
- Joined ICLEI’s Cities for Climate Protection Campaign (www.iclei-usa.org).
