On July 1, 2010 Contra Costa Climate Leaders hosted a workshop on Residential Energy Conservation Ordinances RECOs. Presenters spoke about the details of RECO programs citing different case studies of cities that have these ordinances or are in the process of creating one. Through a city RECO, the energy efficiency of your residential homes can be greatly increased. Combining an ordinance like this with the CaliforniaFIRST financing has created a great opportunity for energy efficient homes. Through an in-person discussion and webinar option, participants learned the basics, the potential troubles and benefits, and had their questions answered about RECOs.
