On July 1, 2010 Contra Costa Climate Leaders hosted a workshop on Residential Energy Conservation Ordinances RECOs>here. Presenters spoke about the details of a RECO programs citing different case studies of cities that have these ordinances or are in the process of creating one. Through a city RECO, the energy efficiency of your residential homes can be greatly increased. Combining an ordinance like this with the CaliforniaFIRST financing in has created a great opportunity for energy efficient homes. Through an in-person discussion and webinar option, participants learned the basics, the potential troubles and benefits, and had their questions answered about RECOs.
