Benchmarking Workshop

Benchmarking Building Energy

Contra Costa County Climate Leaders Program hosted a workshop on Benchmarking Building Energy in conjunction with PG&E. After starting with a presentation on Benchmarking basics, peer-to-peer examples were discussed including the cities of El Cerrito, Richmond and Berkeley. Discussions continued focusing on the value of certificates versus the energy savings of benchmarking buildings. After overviewing how to actually benchmark a building, the workshop ended with the focus on what to do after initial benchmarking is completed.
